Plumbum editions: between art of living and art of making
Drawing inspiration from and using a wealth of local heritage and artisanship, Plumbum designs original pieces in innovative materials, from furniture to objects to meet your design needs.
Based in the south of France, in the heart of the Aveyron region, Plumbum editions originated from the meeting of three design and decor enthusiasts.
The art of living and the art of making come together to offer poetic, customizable collections that blend territorial heritage with delicate styles.
Plumbum is also a workshop that brings together different types of expertise in the edition of furniture for designers, architects and interior decorators (granito terrazzo, metal, leather, wood - bronze-makers, upholsterers, sheath-makers, cabinetmakers, etc.) to produce their own pieces.
The founders: a shared passion
After starting out in Paris, the Plumbum team settled in Rodez in the heart of the Aveyron region. What more could you want than these authentic landscapes for inspiration?
From their experience in the furniture industry, they retained a taste for materials and draw upon their exchanges with designers and subcontractors.
The collaboration began in Laguiole between Laurent Jouany and Léandre Carbonneaux, both of whom are active in the world of tableware.
The trio of enthusiasts shared a passion for objects enhanced by exceptional talent and expertise.
In 2017, after a series of meetings with young designers and the desire to support exceptional local know-how, the furniture editor Plumbum came to light.
Plumbum): graphite used by Roman architects. It is also the name of our mascot, the little French bulldog, a symbol of French flair, represented on our logo.
"Innovation, creativity, team spirit and boldness are our values, these four pillars form the structural basis of Plumbum editions."
